Together, we strive to provide nothing but the best possible care for our patients, as well as provide clear communication to our clients so that they may feel peace of mind about their pet’s health.

Cindy Feiler

DVM

Dr. Cindy Feiler has been a member of the team at Haw Creek Animal Hospital since 2003. She graduated from Cornell in 1999. She enjoys caring for all your furry pets including pocket pets and rabbits. Dr. Feiler also loves providing wellness care for all ages from kittens and puppies to geriatrics. "One of the best parts of my job is that I still get to see something new every day!"

When she is not at Haw Creek Animal Hospital, you can find Dr. Feiler hiking, scrapbooking, cooking, and spending time with her family. Her husband, Alan, is a family physician so between the two of them, they care for the entire animal kingdom! Her family is completed by 1 daughter and 1 son, their dogs Yofi and Shilo, and their cat Twilight.

Cathi Holden

DVM

Dr. Cathi Holden has lived in western North Carolina most of her life. She knew she wanted to be a veterinarian when she began working in the kennel at Hendersonville Veterinary Hospital at 14 years old. Over the next 5 years, she worked as a veterinary assistant and receptionist. She graduated summa cum laude from NC State University and was in the second graduating class of North Carolina State College of Veterinary medicine. She enjoys time spent with her significant other, Rob, her sons, and grandson going hiking, swimming, biking and playing games. Dr. Holden shares a house with 2 dogs, a cat, a snake, and 2 rats. She owned a practice in Hendersonville for 15 years and has worked at Haw Creek Animal Hospital since 2014.

Katie Linderman

DVM

Dr. Katie Linderman has lived most of her life around Chattanooga, Tennessee. She recently relocated to the Asheville area, having always loved the mountains, waterways, and the local culture. As an equine enthusiast, Dr. Linderman has owned many horses throughout her life, including four brilliant Friesians. She has since adopted a simpler life, which she shares with her Aussidor, who frequently accompanies her on local trails.

Showing an aptitude as a child for math and physics, she was recruited by Dr. Ray Hefferlin into the physics department at Southern University in Collegedale, TN, where she studied physics and math. Instead of continuing with a physics career, she decided to follow her lifelong passion for animals and entered the veterinary program at UT Knoxville, where she obtained her doctorate degree in 1998.

After working for a few different veterinary hospitals in the Chattanooga area, she purchased her own clinic, Standifer Gap Pet Hospital, in 2005. Always one to keep honing her skills, she saw a need for animal dentistry in the region and began to study with multiple board-certified veterinary dentists around the United States. Until her move, she established herself as the veterinary dentist of Greater Chattanooga, accepting referrals from a ninety-mile radius for advanced dental procedures.

We are excited to have Dr. Linderman who will focus exclusively on performing dentistry procedures, particularly more advanced ones, distinguishing her role from that of a general practice DVM here at Haw Creek Animal Hospital.

Rachel Horne

DVM

Dr. Rachel Horne graduated from the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. After graduation, she moved to California to complete an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center. She fell in love with the area and one of their veterinary technicians and continued to practice in Santa Cruz for five years.

She and her husband moved to Asheville in 2012. Since then, she practiced emergency and specialty care and general practice and taught at Asheville Buncombe Community College’s Veterinary Technical program at Buncombe County Animal Shelter. She is currently the region’s only RECOVER BLS/ALS CPR certified instructor. She is also Fear Free certified and can help you with your anxious or fearful pet.

She lives in East Asheville with her husband, two daughters, and beloved canine and feline family members Rook, Finch, and Sparrow. She loves any activity that gets her outdoors, especially gardening, birding, and hiking. Her favorite indoor activities include reading, playing Wordle, and making art with her kids. She is excited to provide easier access to preventive care, routine diagnostics and surgery, and, of course, compassionate care to her community.
